Position Responsibilities:

This position will report to the Director of Insights within the Marketing Organization. The Brand Information Manager will interact with and influence marketing and general management through recommending and implementing data-driven solutions for brands.

This person will help lead the execution and research direction of consumer and marketplace understanding of assigned brand(s), with shared accountability for business results Will lead the development and application of consumer and marketplace understanding for all brands; be accountable for the overall contribution of brand information resources and bring expertise in consumer research and syndicated data to the full breadth of the brands sales and marketing activities. Will ensure that knowledge is integrated and synthesized for leveraged insights and translation into business recommendations; be fully accountable for assessing the marketing information needs of the assigned brand(s) and developing and implementing applications to fill those needs. .

  • Create appropriate methods, processes and tools to drive brand(s) and to establish frameworks for a world class insights organization
  • Responsible for implementing overall frameworks for assessing brand(s)information and research needs.
  • Play a collaborative role with the brand teams in setting marketing objectives, strategies and business principles by providing guidance to business teams in identifying and articulating key business issues and opportunities for the assigned brands.
  • Demonstrate ownership of brand team results.
  • Participates/provides input in all aspects of brand team (not just marketing and related issues).
  • Develops and applies actionable frameworks for assessing in-market business performance.
  • Identifies, develops, and champions a brands growth strategies.
  • Provides thought leadership on new product development strategy.
  • Ensures potential opportunities are grounded in consumer understanding.
  • Leads continuous monitoring and analysis of new product activity if appropriate.
  • Establishes action standards for new products.
  • Executes new, improved and/ or more cost effective marketing research tools, methods and processes. Plays a key role in applying these new approaches.
  • Competent in most areas of consumer research and comfortable applying modeling and sophisticated analytic tools to the business.
  • Responsible for executing and evaluating team relationships with suppliers.
  • Responsible for ensuring research activity coordination with R&D, Technology, Packaging, Sales, Promotions, Legal, Advertising Agencies, and Media Personnel.

Education Required: MBA pref.
 
Position Experience:

  • B.S./B.A. (required) Marketing, Business or related field influence brand and category management
  • Ability to develop a strong interactive relationships with marketing and cross functional team personnel
  • Knowledge: broad understanding of marketing research techniques and applications.
  • Champions innovative research approaches.
  • Champions and may co-lead category initiatives.
  • Skill: successful prior engagement of with Senior Marketing personnel.
  • Self Starter
